Please find below a list of disorders related to the diagnostic category, Eating Disorders. The Eating Disorders Work Group has been responsible for addressing these disorders. Among the work group’s proposals is the recommendation that binge eating disorder be recognized as a free-standing diagnosis apart from the Appendix. Also, it is being recommended that the Eating Disorders category be renamed Feeding and Eating Disorders to reflect the proposal for inclusion of feeding disorders (currently categorized under Disorders Usually First Diagnosed In Infancy, Childhood Or Adolescence). Finally, among the recommendations is a significant revision of the DSM-IV disorder Feeding Disorder of Infancy or Early Childhood; it would be renamed Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder.
