Sleep Disorders

Please find below a list of disorders related to the diagnostic category, Sleep Disorders. The Sleep-Wake Disorders Work Group has been responsible for addressing these disorders. Among the work group’s proposals is the recommendation of greater inclusion of disorders not listed in the mental disorder section of the International Classification of Diseases. This has been proposed primarily as a way to educate non-expert sleep clinicians (such as psychiatrists and general medical physicians) about sleep disorders that have mental as well as medical/neurological aspects (Reynolds et al., J Clin Sleep Med 2010; 6:1-2). We appreciate your review and comment on these disorders.
