Please find below a list of disorders related to the diagnostic category: Anxiety Disorders. The Anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Spectrum, Posttraumatic, and Dissociative Disorders Work Group has been responsible for addressing these disorders. Of note, this work group has been responsible for addressing several disorders currently listed under the Disorders Usually First Diagnosed in Infancy, Childhood, or Adolescence section of DSM-IV. These include: Separation Anxiety Disorder, Tic Disorder Due to a General Medical Condition, Stereotypic Movement Disorder, Tourette’s disorder, Chronic Motor or Vocal Tic Disorder, Transient Tic Disorder, and Tic Disorder Not Otherwise Specified. The work group is also responsible for making recommendations for Body Dysmorphic Disorder, which is currently categorized in the DSM-IV under Somatoform Disorders, and Trichotillomania, which is currently categorized under Impulse-Control Disorders Not Elsewhere Classified. Further, the work group is addressing all of the disorders within the Adjustment Disorders category and the Dissociative Disorders category. The work group is addressing several disorders listed in the section of the web site entitled: Conditions Proposed by Outside Sources. These include: Disorders of Extreme Stress Not Otherwise Specified (DESNOS), Developmental Trauma Disorder, and Complicated/Prolonged Grief. Finally, select members of the work group have proposed a recommendation for revising the DSM-IV definition of a mental disorder, which is listed below. We appreciate your review on these disorders.
